My Soul Friend


My Soul friend is Vanessa, she is in Room 4 and she is 7 years old. Her favourite subject is Reading because she likes reading a lot. My Soul friends favourite colour is purple because it is a very lovely colour. Her favourite thing to do at school is to go to the library and play with her friends. Her favourite stuff to do in the weekend is to watch TV and help her mum get the dinner ready. My Soul Friend loves to play outside with her sister Joanna and go to the shops with her family.

Simlies and Metaphor


Similes and Metaphors
A simile is where two things are directly compared because they share a common feature. The word AS or LIKE is used to compare the two words. Eg. As cold AS a dog's nose
A metaphor also compares two things, but it does so more directly WITHOUT using as or like. Eg. The shop was a little gold-mine.
Task One
At the end of the sentence, write in brackets whether the sentence is an example of a metaphor or simile.
Eg. The clouds were fluffy like cotton wool. (SIMILE)
