Maths Games
Today in maths games that is about rounding the between or the nearest number to that number. For example round 6,981 to the nearest ten and the answer is 6,980. I was learning to round whole numbers to the nearest ten, hundred and thousands.
Exploring Both Point Of Views
Today Cecilia and I have created a D.L.O about the Auckland Bus Strike. To complete this task we had use ifaketext to see the argument between the bus company and bus driver about why the bus company was giving the bus driver more hours but less money. The role that I have played was the bus driver and my partner Cecilia played the bus company. My partner and I were learning to see the point of views of each side.

Current Event - Auckland Bus Strikes
Today Ana and I have created a D.L.O about the bus strike that happened 2 months ago. We used our skimming and scanning skills to find interesting information and adding it to our D.L.O. We had collaborated in our current events and added a point of view about what the bus drivers opinion were compared to the public's opinion.
Quick Write Rotation
For writing this week, we have been writing quick write stories. This writing task is called Quick Write Rotation. The key to this task is you go to the first bus stop and there is a story starter for you to finish off the story with a mood. My partner and I have finished off a story starter and you can read it at the top. Our Learning Intention was to understand how our choice of words create the mood of the story.

Planning A Narrative Story

Flags
For reading I have created a D.L.O about what is so different about these 2 flags. I have researched a lot about the white flag. What was so interesting was how there is a shield on the white one but not the current flag. For this task I was learning to use my research skills.
PBS Flag Vote
Today LS2 have been creating a graph or a pie chart to explain how much students want which flag. In each classroom, every student was voting for which flag they want to keep. As you can see it is between our current flag and our new flag.
